But it's hard with the kids here, trying to be just quiet enough, it kind of sucks the life out of the purpose of stress relief if you're worried about noise. `
So, with no immediate weekend plans on the horizon, I get to thinking. We need a space. A discipline space that I can go to for some re-set as needed. However, no such place really exists in our home. We've tried the bedroom, bathroom, etc.. but nothing is quiet enough. So, how about the garage? It's detached from the house right? Hummm....maybe with a little organization in there it might be an option. I mention this to Allan last night and I could see his wheels start turning. He's at work today, but if I know my husband, he's got it all worked out in his head already. I'm curious how this will turn out!
My husband is in DS now helping to patch things up for family members who flooded, sheet rocking and painting. Just wondering how it turned out. Let us know. Like your blog.

DeleteLET YOUR CHILDREN KNOW YOU SPANK! More than 50% of marriages end in divorce. If your children know you have a way of dealing with your anger issues, and your stress relief needs, they will not only get a much needed education in relationship building, but they will have the comfort of knowing they will not be the product of a divorce. They will not have to choose who they will live with etc. "Dad's getting a deserved spanking from mom!" or vice versa. The point is, they will hear it, they will hear the boohoos and see the love in both of you after the anger is vented or the stress is released. Kids need to know and hear. It's good for them. Besides, if they know Dad gets a spanking angering Mom, and Mom gets a spanking for angering Dad, they will probably think twice before angering either of you.
